How to travel in Malaysia with Php 10,000 budget (Part 2)

If you haven't read my blog about my first day at KL, you can find it here. So imagine strolling for 12 hours, you really need a good and long sleep for the next day. Take it from me, rest well at night so that you can save more energy and will not feel lousy for your next adventure. ;)

On our second day, we traveled to the bottom and last stop of the north station, Batu Caves. Though buses are cheaper than transit but the latter is faster since there is no traffic and you can save more time. Batu Cave station is just meters away from the Batu Caves, a Hindu shrine and temple with 200-step stairs and a huge statue of Lord Murugan. There is no entrance fee. Just a note by the way, never wear shorts or mini skirts when you're visiting temples or holy places. Pants, leggings or long skirts will do.

A must try to visit and climb the 200 step Batu Cave.

Inside the Batu Cave.

And yes, another set of stairs. Phew!

Me wearing sarong to cover my legs as I was wearing a romper. This cave is also filled with
monkeys who would try to get something from you especially food! But don't worry
they're harmless.:)

After spending half of the day at Batu Caves, we went back to the central of the city and headed to the Little India Brickfields. If there is Chinatown, then there is also an Indiatown. Stores filled with Indian products, musics, clothes and food can be found here.

We had not reached Genting Highlands anymore since majority of the amenities were under construction that time. Legoland is too far also from the center.

So far the trip was memorable and we enjoyed every place we visited. If you only have limited time, try to arrange your schedule by creating an itinerary to save time. It's a big help also to include estimated expenses such as transportation cost, food, entrance fees and hotel cost to avoid financial shortage unless you got a credit card to save your soul. Always remember when you travel: try to commute instead of taxis/cabs, eat their local dishes even if you don't think these would taste good, talk to the locals and exchange some conversations and visit tourist spots as many as you can. In this way, you could able to learn and experience their culture and create memorable experiences.

So how did I travel in Malaysia for Php10,000?

Flight ticket (2 way: Davao-Cebu-KL) 5,370
KLIA Ekspres (2 way) 800
Hotel (3 nights) 1,000
Transit fare 500
Food 1,000
Extra 1,330
Total 10,000

Have some ideas what to visit on your next trip? Share on me here and will love to hear it from you! Ciao!
